Generative AI - in simple terms (Part 1)

Generative AI is a type of artificial intelligence that can create new things. It works by learning from a lot of existing data and then using that knowledge to generate new content that is similar to the data it learned from.

For example, let's say we have a generative AI system that has been trained on a lot of pictures of cats. It will analyze those pictures and learn what makes a cat a cat—things like their fur patterns, eye shapes, and body proportions. Then, using that knowledge, the AI can generate entirely new pictures of cats that it has never seen before. These generated pictures might look like real cats, even though they were created by the AI.

Generative AI can be used for various things like generating realistic images, writing stories, composing music, or even designing products. It's a fascinating area of AI that allows computers to be creative and produce new content that humans find interesting and useful.
